After witnessing the current role of DNA testing and analysis in the genealogical work of Dr Gates and his enormously talented and experienced team, I suddenly realized that I might be able to determine my own paternity mystery using some of the same methods. Maybe not as wide and deep, but it would be nice to learn my biological surname, at the very to the lowest degree, and hopefully the name of my biological male parent. Since I do not have Any clues, Dna is a start. Thus, I am a little (maybe a lot) indebted to this series, for providing some hope. This serial is, among the many knock-offs, a cut in a higher place, because of the rich and thorough historical context Gates provides to each of his guests/clients and the audition. It is and then fascinating. I was so moved to see neurosurgeon, and CNN medical correspondent Sanjay Gupta so deeply touched, when he learned his ancestors deep Indian roots via centuries quondam scrolls maintained by holy men in Bharat-- It is thrilling to watch.

So incredibly interesting and surprisingly, information technology is exciting too! I would love to have someone work this diligently on my family history. It's similar watching a mystery. The Yale professor who host this show does an excellent job. Highly recommend.

Excellent! I learned so much about the ancestors of our African Americans and the Jewish ancestors. The history was very helpful and information technology allowed me to understand slavery in a very real context. I appreciate everyone who participated in these shows. I am sure that aspects of the evidence was hard and emotional for the participants but I gained real knowledge about the real history of these real people and their ancestors. Cheers everyone for sharing their stories.

As the family genealogist I institute the programs interesting, though the programs researching 3 individuals was too much for a one hour program; two individuals was near right. These programs do show how diverse the people of the Usa are, AND... how much nosotros are alike (and related to each other). The last episode for this year that aired just earlier Thanksgiving was fantastic; information technology explained Dna testing in laymen's terms, and was quite interesting.
